And here we are to make a short assessment of the year 2019. In fact, as at the end of every year, there were good and bad moments. If we think about the less good moments, they are very rare. If we have to find some, we could talk about an episode or two of rain but otherwise nothing. In fact, if the fishing season for small channel fish in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade goes as well as last winter’s, we can only thank Mother Nature for having collaborated so well with us outfitters to make our winter a most enjoyable period. We must not forget our dear clientele without whom nothing would be possible of course.

Among other things, we have, at the beginning of this season, a mission assigned by our friends the biologists. This mission consists in collecting a certain sampling of the fish population of the channels present in our river. The criteria are established in advance and after collecting specimens of tomcods, the biologists will be able to make studies to determine where the small channel fish that enter the river to come and spawn before returning to their natural habitat come from.
Without going into details because, as you will surely have understood, I have no competence in biology, from a small bone on the head of the tomcod they will carry out this study. It looks very simple the way I present it to you but biology being a science, it’s much more complex than that. So let’s talk again about the conclusions of the study in progress!!!!

To each and every one of you, we would like to wish you a very happy and healthy year 2020.
