Today is the first day of spring. Let’s get out the drums and trumpets to celebrate the arrival of this beautiful season.

This spring of 2022 will remain forever in our memories and this for more than one reason, the first one being the removal of the mask in class for the children as well as the vaccination passport in many places also to the satisfaction of many who thought they were being restricted in their freedom but this is another debate.

We can’t ignore either the horrible war of Russia against Ukraine, a war that takes away the lives of innocent people who only want to live in harmony. Anyway, I am only touching on this so sensitive subject because it is part of all those things that will make this year 2022 remain in our memories.

After 2 years of pandemic and uncertainty, the future looks brighter and more prosperous for us Canadians and Quebecers and the only thing to do is to take advantage of it. Nobody said that we would not hear about Covid anymore but we can believe that it will be less dramatic and less tragic. In fact, life may go back to the way it was before and we will be very happy about that.

For our part, we outfitters of the Ste-Anne River in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade, have already had this winter a foretaste of what would be the resumption of an almost normal life. In fact, this winter, with a few exceptions, we really had the impression of a season of fishing for small channel fish as in previous years, to our great satisfaction and that of our customers and friends of course.

So, as hope makes you live, we can wish a return to peace, a return to health to enjoy the sunny and warm days that await us.

See you soon!
