Mother Nature has been giving us a run for our money lately. For example, the month of July 2023 broke heat records to such an extent that it was published as the hottest month the Earth has ever known.<\/p>\n
This may not be a record to be proud of, as many countries suffered in many ways. The summer of 2023 will also officially go down in history for its humidity and abundant rainfall. Several regions of Quebec received much higher-than-normal amounts of rain. These vagaries of Mother Nature gave rise to some disturbing phenomena, to say the least. Whether we’re talking tornadoes, lightning or landslides, they all occurred with sometimes disastrous consequences.<\/p>\n
In any case, we have to deal with the forecasted temperatures, even if it means changing our schedule. We change our plans to make the most of the time spent with family and friends.<\/p>\n
It’s almost back to school and back to business as usual, and time flies. For us, as outfitters of small channel fish, it’s also a time for refurbishing our fishing cottages to ensure that visitors have the best possible experience with us in Ste-Anne-de-la-P\u00e9rade.<\/p>\n
As we’re proud of our beautiful village, we have to do everything we can to make people feel as comfortable as possible. In fact, we’re truly blessed to have this magnificent river in all its splendour right in the heart of the village. Activities around it take place in both summer and winter. In summer, we can go canoeing, paddleboarding and fishing. In winter, fishing for channel fish is the main activity, but it’s surrounded by all kinds of other sporting activities like snowmobiling, ice skating, ice volleyball and so on…<\/p>\n
