At Centre de p\u00eache Mario Leduc, we advocate catch-and-release of small channel fish when you don’t want to bring in your catch and there’s no risk of the fish dying. This way, waste is avoided and small fish don’t die unnecessarily.
\nResearch was carried out during the January 2023 ice-fishing season to confirm that fish really do survive when released.
