When winter shows its face, many see more inconveniences than advantages. However, there is so much to do to have fun and appreciate this season. Ice fishing is gaining popularity among the most popular winter sports. Whether practiced outdoors in the middle of a lake or inside a heated and comfortable cabin at the fish fishing village in Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade, also known as the Atlantic tomcod, the fun is there and for the whole family. The species vary, of course, but enthusiasts find what they are looking for.

When you come fishing with us at the Mario Leduc Fishing Center, you can enjoy your day in the comfort of a fishing cabin in our beautiful ice village. Our facilities are meticulously maintained, and we make it our duty to meet your needs as best as possible. In addition to staying in a cozy chalet, you can enjoy these beautiful winter days to skate and even play hockey with your group if you wish. Taking a walk to visit this winter village that everyone talks about is definitely worth the trip. You won’t find this anywhere else, and it’s amazing to see a village set up temporarily to bring life to the place. That’s what makes Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade a place where winter and fun come together perfectly.

Fishing begins here in December and continues until mid-February. During the weekends of February, we even have a festival featuring special activities planned for both children and adults. Whether it’s the beer fair, volleyball tournament, tomcod tastings, mascot parade, mini-golf, or face painting for children, all these activities are offered for free, which is a significant benefit for a family budget, knowing that the cost of living forces many to limit their activities.

While you are settled in your little chalet, you can even cook your own meal there, which reduces expenses and makes it one of the most affordable outings.

All in all, fishing for the tomcod is perfect for enjoying winter with family or friends without breaking the bank.

So, see you soon on the ice of the Ste-Anne River!!!
