What a beautiful winter we have with the snow, the cold and not to be neglected, the small fish of the channels in quantities. For us outfitters, it is the essential raw material for success. Today is February 17 and this small fish is still present but it will soon return to its natural habitat which is the St. Lawrence Estuary.
Since the announcement of the easing of several measures related to the Covid-19, people can meet again and find a more satisfying social life. Of course, caution is still the order of the day, but isn’t it nice to think about resuming our activities. People are happy to get back in touch with each other.
In our small channel fishing village we see the difference between before and after the relief. People are coming in greater numbers and they have a lighter spirit.
The fishing lodge which could only accommodate a small family bubble is now used to its full capacity by more than one family or a group of friends to the great pleasure of everyone.
In everyday life, we can notice a certain lightness; this one having been absent for almost 2 years now. We find a normality in our everyday life. There is even talk of removing the obligation to present the vaccine passport very soon, which is no mean feat. Covid-19 will probably be part of our lives from now on, but in a very different way in that it will no longer be a dark shadow that we knew nothing about when it first came to us. We will have to get used to living with it as with any other virus.
Caution will still be required, but the constraints will be much lighter.
